If you are interested in a fully-funded 3-year PhD in Automatic Control, Bioengineering and Operations Research (ABRO), Sapienza University has opened the call for 42nd Cycle PhD PROGRAMMES – Academic Year 2026/2027.
Research topics:
ABRO offers three curricula in Automatic Control, Bioengineering and Operations research. The programme is multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary.
ABRO PhD topics in OR include:
MILP /MINLP (Mixed Integer Linear / Non Linear Optimization), Combinatorial optimization, Variational Problems, Game theory, Optimization for Machine Learning and data analytics, Explainable AI and digital health.
Location: Rome’s thriving tech ecosystem + biggest campus in Europe, high ranked for research excellence.
We look for motivated and qualified students that want to join our ABRO Ph.D. programme. The program is open to candidates of any age and nationality, provided you have an MS degree by October 31, 2026.
5 Fully-funded scholarships (€16.2 k / year + mobility bonus) for three intense, discovery-packed years.
