Siemens Mobility is looking for an Apprentice for the Center of Competence in Optimization, in Rome within the Software BU area who will be trained in 2 years as Operations Research Scientist.
During the apprenticeship you will receive a comprehensive and state-of-the- art training to develop your personal and professional skills and you will have the support of a mentor to achieve your career steps.

Requirements:
- You have less than 30 years of age, in accordance with the Italian apprenticeship contract.
- Recent PhD or PhD candidate nearing completion in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields with a thesis focused on optimization. Candidates with Master’s degree candidates may also be considered.
- Strong foundation in mathematical programming and familiarity with optimization software tools (e.g., CPLEX, Gurobi, etc).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate complex ideas clearly.
- Programming skills in language of choice (Python, Java, C++ etc).
- Proficiency in English and Italian.
- Team player ability, strong communication & interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a changing environment.
- Passion to never-stop growing.
- Respect and appreciation of each person’s uniqueness, willingness to co create and share knowledge.
- Eligibility to work in Italy.
